As part of the Japan Scholar Program, a researcher from Waseda University visited universities in India and delivered lectures to local students.
During the seminars, students raised questions regarding challenges in the industrial application of large language models, and the participants listened with great interest and attentiveness. The visit also provided a valuable opportunity to engage in discussions with many faculty members on the potential for academic collaboration between Japanese and Indian universities.

In addition, technical seminars and study-abroad information sessions were held at PSG College of Technology and Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women.

Through these activities, students were provided with valuable opportunities to deepen their understanding of research and higher education in Japan, and the program is expected to encourage further academic exchange and foster concrete interest in pursuing study in Japan.

Japan Scholar Program

The Japan Scholar Program sends researchers affiliated with research institutions in Japan to universities and high schools in South Asia, where they give mock lectures and talks about studying in Japan. The program aims to promote Japan's research capabilities and educational strengths through lectures to local high school and university students.
